Why should I watch Gotham?

Hello Nerds!
Today I’d like to talk about why you should watch GOTHAM, Fox’s newest superhero show.
Gotham is (as some of us know) a big part of not only Batman mythos, but many other characters as well. We get to see some of the most influential people in Gotham before they’ve ever tangled with Batman (like Riddler, Penguin, Gordon, Bullock, and new characters like Mooney), and this provides great potential in my opinion for the show- writers. When you put so many raw characters with no pre-conceptions about them into a side of the city we’ve never really seen before, with an era of peace on the verge of war- that is the kind of show that just pulls me in.
As nerds, we have so many obsessions (or in some cases, only one) that we love, as Mark Hamill’s Joker put it “you’ve experienced the ups, the downs” and all of us know how the routine goes; this time, however we can have those ups and downs without Batman or Robin, instead we get an entirely Batman- Free show, that follows Bruce Wayne, James Gordon, and many others.
Everyone should go out and watch at least the first episode, even if you’re not a Batman nerd, or fanatic. There aren’t any insufferable nerdy type things like the cheesy Bat-copter, or the near insufferable labels that West’s cave had, no, this is just like another crime based show, just without the five billion main character cast with whiter than white lab coats, and one guy in a suit. I’d bet, if half of you give it a try, you will like at least one aspect of the show.
